Matching of fracture functions for SIDIS in target fragmentation region

چکیده
In the target fragmentation region of Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering, diffractively produced hadron has small transverse momentum. If it is at order $\Lambda_{QCD}$, prevents to make predictions with standard collinear factorization. However, in this case, differential cross-sections can be predicted by factorization fracture functions, diffractive parton distributions. momentum much larger than $\Lambda_{QCD}$ but smaller $Q$ which virtuality virtual photon, both factorizations apply. functions factorized distributions and functions. We study up twist-3 level obtain gauge invariant results. They will helpful for modeling useful resummation large logarithm appearing

Cahn and Sivers effects in the target fragmentation region of SIDIS
LEPTO event generator is modified to describe the azimuthal modulations arising from Cahn and Sivers effects. The comparisons with some existing data in the current fragmentation region of SIDIS are presented. The predictions for Cahn and Sivers asymmetries in the target fragmentation region are presented for SIDIS of 12 GeV electrons off proton target.

Fixed-target experiments permit the study of hadron production in the target fragmentation region. It is expected that the tagging of speci c particles in the target fragments can be employed to introduce a bias in the hard scattering process towards a speci c avour content. The case of hadrons containing a heavy quark is particularly attractive because of the clear experimental signatures and ...
متن کاملLEPTO and Polarized SIDIS: the Question of Independent Fragmentation
Hadron production in the LEPTO event generator is modeled as a product of distribution functions and LUND hadronization functions (LHFs) weighted by the hard scattering cross sections. The description of polarized SIDIS within this formalism includes a new nonperturbative input – polarized LHFs. It is shown that this approach does not correspond to the commonly adopted one with the independent ...

متن کاملSpin-dependent, interference and T−odd fragmentation and fracture functions
Fracture functions, originally suggested to describe the production of diffractive and leading hadrons in semi-inclusive DIS, may be also applied at fixed target energies. They may also include interference and final state interaction, providing a source for azimuthal asymmetries at HERMES and (especially) Λ polarization at NOMAD. The recent papers by Brodsky, Hwang and Schmidt, and by Gluck an...
